Lemongrass Oil Benefits

Lemongrass essential oil instantly “tones” the nervous system and has a positive effect on blood circulation and metabolism. It helps in the treatment of various conditions of the respiratory system and is effective in treating colds, sinus infections, and other respiratory ailments. Lemongrass oil easily relieves headaches and migraines and has a positive effect on hypotension, dizziness, and fatigue.

Lemongrass Oil for Acne

Lemongrass oil is an excellent natural treatment for oily and porous skin. It tightens and unclogs enlarged pores, eliminates acne and reduces skin infections.

Lemongrass Oil for Skin

Natural lemongrass oil is well known for its antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic properties, and is often used to prevent and treat fungal infections of the skin. This oil stimulates the regeneration of skin cells and strengthens connective tissues. Lemongrass oil is often used as an active ingredient in cosmetic products for problem skin.

Lemongrass Oil for Body Care

As a natural deodorant, lemongrass oil is much more effective than many synthetic deodorants, which have a strong negative impact on the environment and a limited effect on excessive sweating. In a diluted form, lemongrass oil acts as an effective deodorant, without any side effects on the skin. Lemongrass oil normalises the function of the sweat glands, easily removes and deters unpleasant odours, prevents the development of bacteria, and is recommended for regulating excessive sweating of the feet.

Lemongrass Oil for Hair

Lemongrass oil is used as a mask for oily hair. It reduces the oiliness of the scalp, nourishes the hair and provides hair care from roots to ends.

Other Uses for Lemongrass Oil

Due to its particularly strong activity in soft tissues, natural lemongrass oil is often used in the treatment of cellulite. Lemongrass oil holds its niche in aromatherapy and is one of the most effective oils for increased stimulation. In the cosmetics industry, natural lemongrass oil is most commonly blended with jojoba, grape seed, or sandalwood oils and is highly recommended for the care of oily skin.

How to use:

Essential oils are not recommended to be used on the skin in pure form, they should be diluted with a base oil such as almond oil, sesame oil, jojoba oil or grape seed oil

For massage: 3-4 drops of lemongrass oil per 15 ml of base oil.

To enrich cosmetic preparations: 3 drops per 15 g of base.

For the treatment of fungal infections: a few drops mixed with base oil and regularly applied to the affected areas

Internal administration: 1 drop with honey, jam, oil, in a bread “pill” 2 times a day (do not take before bedtime!). Drink with juice, tea, kefir, yogurt

Disinfection of the air and household items: 10 drops of lemongrass oil mixed with a glass of water, add 2 ml. alcohol and pour into a bottle with a sprayer.

Insect protection – use in aroma lamp

Air disinfection – use in an aroma lamp or diffuser.

For uplifting: use in an aroma lamp or diffuser, or simply drop a drop of oil on a tissue and inhale.

For hair: massage diluted oil into scalp (or add to shampoo or conditioner).

  1. Melissa Worrell

It’s a great oil! I use a few drops in water in my humidifier for my headaches and it works wonders! Also it soothes when I have colds or sinus infections. I love the smell and I would highly recommend this oil, my air has never smelt this good!

  2. Kym Lang

Since I started using lemon grass oil, I have seen a massive improvement in the condition of my skin, my acne is less and pores are less visible, as well as no skin infections like before.

  3. Armine (verified owner)

Can’t imagine my life without this oil))I use it diluted in other oils to massage my face, hands and feet to improve blood circulation. It helps to get rid of muscle pains and swollen ankles. And it smells great! Be careful, as it has a burning effect, do not use undiluted or too concentrated, especially on face or other sensitive areas.
