Lashes Serum
Benefits of Natural Lashes Oil
The eyelashes form an important function, providing the first line of defense for the delicate eye tissue, protecting against dust and debris, and acting as a warning system when something is near to the eye to trigger a reflex action whereas the eyelid closes to form a barrier against the foreign object. They also offer protection against the harsh glare of the sun and reduce evaporation of the eye fluid.
Moreover the eyelashes form an integral part of our look, with long eyelashes often considered a sign of beauty, and thus in pursuit of longer lashes we subject them to constant abuse by applying mascara, harsh glues for extensions, synthetic chemical growth stimulators and using curling tools.
Our eyelash serum is an intrinsic blend of natural oils to give you longer, thicker lashes naturally.
How Does Our Lashes Oil Benefit the Lashes?
This magical elixir nourishes, hydrates and strengthens the hair follicles whilst simultaneously promoting growth. Existing lashes will be fortified, resolving brittleness, reducing patchiness and reinforcing the hair structure to make the lashes stronger and more voluminous. You can confidently bid farewell to uncomfortable and expensive fake lashes.
Castor Oil Enriches Our Lashes Oil with the Following Properties:
Caster Oil is rich in antioxidants, omega-6 fatty acids, in particular ricinoleic acid, plus vitamin E and proteins, and is renowned for its effect on lashes and is the mainstay of most lash serums.
Ricinoleic acid has been shown to stimulate prostaglandin (PGE2), a hormone that triggers hair growth. Furthermore, caster oil is also believed to inhibit prostaglandin D2 synthase which can reduce hair and lash follicle lengthening. This oil penetrates deep into the skin and follicles to work from the inside out. It nourishes brittle or fine hairs, offers superb rehydration, repairs damaged follicles, and strengthens and protects each individual lash, thus preventing damage or loss. By increasing blood circulation it also stimulates further growth. With antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties caster oil protects against inflammation, irritation and infection. Infections are a major cause of lash loss, and castor oil has demonstrated that it has the ability to treat blepharitis, a common ocular condition that typically causes inflammation, scaling, reddening, and crusting of the eyelid, and can result in premature lash loss. It can also treat demodex (eyelash mites) which, although common, can cause lash fall if their numbers become too prolific.
Argan Oil Enriches Our Lashes Oil with the Following Properties:
Argan Oil is packed with fatty acids, carbohydrates, minerals and vitamin E to ensure great hair health, including the lashes. With antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and antibacterial properties, it reduces inflammation and irritation, and also offers protection against lash mites. Argan oil is a potent moisturiser and penetrates the cortex to nourish the hair shaft, helping to repair damage from within. By forming a protective layer around each lash it protects against oxidative stress and UV damage, imparts shine, smooths the hair and stops the lashes clumping together. Argan oil penetrates deep into the skin, regenerating the follicles, actively strengthening the lashes, promoting elasticity and protecting against brittleness and breakage. Regular use accelerates the production of keratin, stimulating lash growth, protecting against loss, and encouraging long, healthy, dark, thick lashes.
Jojoba Oil Enriches Our Lashes Oil with the Following Properties:
With an abundance of fatty acids, vitamin E, carbohydrates, and minerals that are essential for great hair health, jojoba oil is a superb lash enhancer. It is able to control sebum, due to its biological similarity to the skin’s own sebum, and thus can resolve the issue of sparse lashes due to blocked follicles from an overproduction of sebum. Unlike other oils, jojoba does not penetrate deeply into the lash but provides an impenetrable barrier that locks in moisture and and protects against further damage from UV and oxidative stress. It conditions and moisturises the lashes and has strong regenerative properties, repairing cell damage, filling in any cracks in damaged lashes, strengthening the hair shaft and thickening the lashes. Since this oil absorbs so deeply into the skin it will also nourish and protect the hair follicle, and encourage and stimulate healthy growth, in addition to preventing lash loss. Further protection is also provided by jojoba oil’s antimicrobial, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
Sweet Almond Oil Enriches Our Lashes Oil with the Following Properties:
Containing one of the high levels of natural vitamin E, plus fatty acids, proteins and antioxidants, in addition to magnesium, calcium and biotin, sweet almond oil makes a wonderful component in our eyelash serum. It moisturises, seals and protects, restores and retains moisture and elasticity, repairs existing damage and adds an instant shine. Almond oil improves hair resilience, and smooths the cuticle and diminishes friction, thus preventing damage or wear and tear due to rubbing, ensuring that the lashes remain strong. Application of the oil accelerates blood circulation and thus promotes growth, and growth is further stimulated and accelerated by the presence of magnesium and natural biotin. Furthermore, as a rich source of antioxidants it will prevent UV and oxidative stress, and the antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties will calm irritation and inflammation.
Essential Aroma Oils Enrich Our Lashes Oil with the Following Properties:
Lavender Oil: Lavender oil is known for its ability to stimulate blood flow, thus ensuring that the follicles receive more nutrients, and boosting growth. It is also believed to directly influence the growth time of the lash, lengthening the anagen (growth) stage before the lash reaches the telogen (resting) stage and therefore enabling the lash to grow longer. Lavender also possesses antibacterial properties and can protect against blepharitis and demodex.
Rosemary Oil: Rosemary oil is a strong growth stimulator and has been shown to be as effective as a popular alopecia treatment but without the side-effects. It encourages new growth in addition to fortifying the existing hair or lash. Rosemary oil improves circulation and provides deep nourishment, strengthening and moisturising the lashes and preventing loss or breakage.
Orange Oil: Orange oil contains vitamins A and C to help promote eyelash growth. It deeply nourishes the hair follicles and increases circulation, encouraging growth, eliminating brittle and dry lashes, and making the lashes thick, smooth, strong and healthy. Orange oil also possesses strong antibacterial, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.
Vitamin E Enriches Our Lashes Oil with the Following Properties:
Vitamin E is a staple in most eyelash serums as it is an extremely important antioxidant which plays a huge role in hair/lash growth and thickness. It helps to prevent oxidative stress damage which is connected to poor hair growth and hair loss. In addition to supporting healthy growth, when applied topically vitamin E helps to repair the hair follicles and accelerate the growth stage of the lashes. It also helps to nourish and protect the delicate eye area.
How to use Natural Lashes Oil
Apply a small amount each night onto the lashes using the applicator provided. Take care to avoid getting the serum in the eye. It is recommended to apply at least 20 minutes before going to bed to allow the oil to soak in and prevent soiling the pillow. May also be applied in the morning, but will prevent the adherence of makeup.
