Description

The ingredients for our Egyptian Gastric Tea is a combination of healing herbs with known properties to assist with the treatment of digestion and stomach problems.  Cumin, fennel, anise and senna, work in unison to offer a calming tea to eradicate gastric acid, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, constipation, trapped gas, acid indigestion and bloating. It may be used to cure stomach inflammation, to simply keep you “regular”, or to keep symptoms at bay in the case of IBS sufferers.

Cumin

Contains essential oils which can stimulate the salivary glands, promoting the efficient and effective digestion of food, preventing such problems as gas and bloating. Excellent remedy for loss of appetite. A great acid neutraliser, it helps to keep acid digestion at bay and provides pain relief against stomach pain. As a natural diuretic cumin can be effective at improving IBS symptoms by relieving bloating, whilst its ability to stimulate the intestines movement can help to keep things “regular”.

Fennel

Perfect to treat an upset stomach and diarrhea, fennel encourages blood to the digestive tract, regulates contractions of the intestines, and relieves such symptoms as cramps, spasms, trapped gas and bloating. An excellent aid to relieve symptoms of IBS, as well as being a traditional remedy for colic in babies, relieving spasms and pain.

Senna

A natural laxative to promote peristalsis of the bowel and colon, thus effectively clearing and cleaning it. Often used to clear the colon before a colonoscopy or similar diagnostic test, senna is also used for the relief of IBS and hemorrhoids.

Anise

Anise is a calmative and anti-inflammatory herb, meaning that it calms cramps, reduces nausea and helps to dispel gas and reduce bloating. It also possesses potent antimicrobial properties to aid in the prevention of infections and inhibit the growth of bacteria within the stomach and intestines, keeping the digestive tract clear and happy.  The anti-inflammatory properties are known to be extremely helpful to IBS sufferers.
